About the album

Composed and performed entirely on a 12-string Gibson ES-335, Pensive Reveries is a cycle of eleven wordless meditations. Each piece explores resonance, overtones, and harmonic shimmer, inviting the listener into a spacious, internal world.

The album draws visual and emotional inspiration from the abstract fields of Mark Rothko. Like his paintings, the music resists narrative and offers instead an atmosphere, something you can stand inside, or drift within. There are no descriptive titles, only roman numerals, leaving each track open to your own perception.

These are not songs in the usual sense, but tonal reflections. A moment held. A recollection, half-formed. A horizon that does not demand interpretation.

In the spirit of writers like Rachel Cusk, the work does not attempt to define experience, but to make space around it, so that something of your own might echo back.
